This extension summarizes YouTube videos using the transcript of the video, if available. In order to use the extension, users must have both an OpenAI account and a YouTube account.
The extension retrieves an API key from the HTML of the YouTube page and uses "params" in a fetch request to get transcript information for the video. It also uses cookies from the OpenAI website to obtain an access token, which is used to start conversations with the OpenAI ChatGPT chatbot.
We take the privacy of our users seriously and will only use the information collected through the extension for the purpose of providing the YouTube summary service. We will not share any personal information with third parties.
